WishList, founded in 1990 in Austin, Texas, started out as a mailing list company - compiling data from Texas open records sources. In 1997, Carolyn Lehmann was brought on board to sell lists and to expand into offering turnkey mailing solutions. With health professionals and homeowners mailing lists, it was a natural progression for WishList to provide mailing services to Texas hospital recruiters, insurance agents, home builders, nonprofits, and others.
Connecting with graphic designer Ryan Myers in 1998 helped position WishList as a boutique direct marketing firm in Austin. And then in 2004, the company founder retired and Carolyn stepped in to lead WishList, moving the company offices to her hometown of New Braunfels. Carolyn and Ryan continued to work together to ‘help others succeed.’
Not trying to be all things to all people, WishList’s focus was still mailing lists and direct mail. But with Ryan’s agency experience and keen eye for design, corporate identity, branding, and all things print - from business cards to billboards - were and are still also available to WishList clients.
Adding the statewide Texas Voters file to our list offerings in 2007 created the opportunity to be a list and mail vendor to political campaigns. WishList provides lists and services to candidates for city and county offices, Texas State House and Senate, and even U.S. Congress now under the dba of VoterDirect Texas.
In 2008, we leased our first digital production printer so we could control production of our clients’ mailings in-house. Now in 2015, our shop has 6 that we own, as well as a digital envelope printer, cutters, a folder, and inserters. We print and mail 98% of our clients’ work in-house.
In 2010, we added ‘Direct' to our name to match our website - so now we do business as WishList Direct and VoterDirect Texas. We continue our expanded focus on helping our clients succeed through direct channel marketing. We believe in mail - and believe we do it better than anyone!

By adding a personal touch to every project, coupled with 25 years working in retail, non-profit, and outside sales, Carolyn specializes in pulling all the pieces together to make your direct mail a success.
Janna originally joined WishList in 2008. She is a licensed CPA in Texas. As Company Controller, she manages all financial and human resources matters for the growing team at WishList Direct. From logos, letters, and postcards to brochures, books, and illustrations – for 21 years Ryan has helped bring messages alive for companies and organizations. His goal is to visually reinforce an organization’s message and mission so that they resonate with their audience. His creative instinct, attention to detail, and eye for design result in marketing and fundraising campaign materials that are unique and eye-catching.
Account Representative and Administrative Assistant
Monica is often the first voice you’ll hear when you call WishList. Her cheery and ‘can-do’ attitude is evident and has carried her successfully through more than 25 years of sales, customer service, and retail management positions. She is tasked with tracking down hard to find lists and working directly with customers to keep their projects on schedule.
Print Shop Manager
Micheal joined WishList in 2012, after more than 15 years in digital print production with Xerox in Houston. His expertise and knowledge of digital printing has been invaluable as we expanded our in-house printing and mailing capabilities.
